CHICAGO, IL – The Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board (ONCB®) is proud to announce that Dylan Salrin, MSN, RN has earned the credential ONC-A™ (Orthopaedic Nurse Certified – Advanced) and become Board-certified by successfully completing the portfolio certification process.
Board-certification confers upon the individual the ONC-A credential which identifies to the public the attainment of a substantial knowledge base in the area of orthopaedic nursing. Certification recognizes the individual registered nurse who demonstrates a high level of professional development through activities such as publication, presentation, and community involvement. We commend Dylan for this achievement of elevating the standards of orthopaedic nursing practice.
To become an ONC-A, the candidate must meet all eligibility criteria at the time of application and submit a portfolio demonstrating completion of required professional education and activities. Each candidate must hold a current, full and unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) in the United States, its possessions, or Canada; hold a Master’s degree or higher earned at a U.S. institution in nursing (e.g., MSN [CNS, CNL], MN, MNEd) OR related discipline with direct involvement in musculoskeletal health (e.g., MPH, MBA, MNA, MHA); and have a minimum of 2,500 hours of nursing work experience in musculoskeletal health since completing the graduate degree, or within the past 3 years if degree completion was more than 3 years ago.
The Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board (ONCB) develops, implements, and coordinates all aspects of certification for orthopaedic nurses.
