Applications for computerized testing may be completed online at the test vendor’s Web site (www.goAMP.com). Paper applications also may be downloaded with the Candidate Handbook, available through this link or at the AMP Web site; paper applications must be RECEIVED by AMP by March 31 (not postmarked by March 31). Candidates will be able to schedule exams during the months of May and June 2009, with scheduling instructions provided after their exam application has been processed. To determine the computer testing center closest to you, download the Candidate Handbook, or complete online exam registration, go to the AMP Web site (www.goAMP.com) and choose the “Candidates” button. Then - Select “Healthcare” as the exam “category;” “Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board” as the “program;” and “ONC,” “Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse Specialist,” or “Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner” as the “exam.” ONCB also will offer paper-and-pencil exams at AAOS (Las Vegas, NV - February 24, 2009) and the Annual NAON Congress (Tampa, FL - May 17, 2009). Registration for the AAOS exam will be accepted from November 4, 2008, through January 20, 2009. Applications for the NAON Congress exam will be accepted February 12 - April 1, 2009. ONLY PAPER APPLICATIONS FROM THE CANDIDATE HANDBOOK ARE ACCEPTED FOR THESE TWO EXAMINATIONS.
