Certifying Excellence in Orthopaedic Nursing

Application/Testing Sites

Applications for computerized testing may be completed online on the Applied Measurement Professionals (AMP) Web site, ONCB'sŪ test vendor. Candidates may also download paper applications with the Candidate Handbook. Paper applications must be RECEIVED by AMP by August 31 (not postmarked by August 31).  Candidates will be able to schedule exams during the months of October and November 2009, with scheduling instructions provided after their exam application has been processed. 

To find the computer testing center closest to you, download the Candidate Handbook. To complete the online exam registration, follow these steps: Ū
  • Go to the AMP Web site (www.goAMP.com)
  • Choose the "Candidates" button
  • Select "Healthcare" as the exam "category"
  • "Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board" as the "program"
  • "ONCŪ," "Orthopaedic Clinical Nurse Specialist," or "Orthopaedic Nurse Practitioner" as the "exam"

ONCB offers the ONP-CŪ and OCNS-CŪ exam in paper-and-pencil format twice annually at the AAOS
(Las Vegas, NV - February 24, 2009) and the annual NAON Congress (Seattle, WA - May 16, 2010).
 
    Please note: Online applications are not available for paper-and-pencil testing opportunities. Only paper applications from the Candidate Handbook are accepted for these two examinations.
